Should I book mobile or the studio?

Mobile is for cleaning and protecting: Full Valets, Deep Cleans, Exterior Protection and Maintenance Valets, done at your home or work by our fully equipped van. The studio in Melton Mowbray is for paint correction and longer-lasting ceramic coatings, where the work needs controlled lighting and a covered space. If your paint has swirl marks or scratches you want gone, it's a studio job.

Do I need to know what I want before I get in touch?

No. Use the package finder above, or pick ‘Unsure? Help me decide’ and tell us about your car. Kane will look at what it needs and recommend the right package.

How much does car detailing cost in Leicester?

Mobile valeting starts at £170 for a Full Valet and £240 for a Deep Clean, done at your home or work. Studio paint correction starts at £500, with Wax Is Dead ceramic coating available on top. Every car is different, so you'll get an exact quote once we know the make, model and condition. Full breakdowns are on our paint correction and ceramic coating pricing pages.

Call or WhatsApp 07711 146734, or send a quote request through the website. Mobile jobs are booked at your home or work. The studio is appointment only, so please book before you visit.

How quickly will I hear back?

Our average reply time is under 30 minutes. If it's easier, call or WhatsApp Kane on 07711 146734 and talk it through directly.

How much does paint correction cost in Leicester?

At KDT, paint correction starts at £500. Enhancement Detail is £500, Single Stage Correction is £650 and Two Stage Correction is £800. These are correction-only prices. A Wax Is Dead ceramic coating can be added for £250 (2-year) or £350 (5-year) to protect the finish. All correction is carried out at our Melton Mowbray studio, and you'll get a firm quote after we've inspected your paint.

Why does the price vary so much between tiers?

The price reflects the time and number of polishing stages involved. Each tier adds machine polishing time, and Two Stage Correction adds a full compounding stage before refining. The size of the car and the current condition of the paint also affect the final quote, which is why we confirm the price after inspection.

Do I need to know which tier I need before I book?

No. Most people don't, and that's fine. We inspect the paint under studio lighting, show you what's there and recommend the tier that gets the result you want. If you'd like a starting point first, try the package finder on our studio page.

Can paint correction be done on my driveway?

No. Proper paint correction needs controlled lighting to show every defect, and a space free from dust, wind and rain, so we only do it at our Melton Mowbray studio. Our mobile service covers valeting, deep cleans and exterior protection at your home or work.

What should I check before comparing paint correction quotes?

Ask what percentage of defects the process actually removes. Cheaper machine polishing is available locally from around £150, but it's usually a one-hit gloss lift using fillers rather than true correction, and the swirls come back once the filler washes out. If a quote can't tell you how much defect it removes, there's no real correction happening.

Is paint correction worth it, or should I just get it coated?

If your paint has visible swirls or scratches, correct it first. A ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so coating over swirl marks just protects the swirl marks. If the paint is already in good condition, an Enhancement Detail followed by a coating is usually enough.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on how deep your defects go. Single Stage Correction (£650) is a one-step machine polish that removes around 60 to 75% of swirl marks and light scratches. Two Stage Correction (£800) adds a heavy compounding stage before the refining stage, removing 80 to 90% of moderate to heavy swirls, scratches and holograms where it's safe to do so. If your paint is already in good shape, an Enhancement Detail (£500) may be all you need.
